VAQT Horology introduces B.R.M Chronographes in India. Founded in 2003 by Bernard Richards, the brand grew from his lifelong love for motorsports and his desire to express that spirit through watchmaking. Because of this deep passion, every B.R.M creation carries the energy, precision, and thrill linked to racing.

In 2004, Bernard Richards met master watchmaker Jean‑Paul Crabbe. A partnership he fondly calls “the greatest collaboration of my life.” Together, they began crafting distinctive mechanical watches inspired first by racing and later by the world of golf. As a result, the brand built a strong identity rooted in craftsmanship and creativity.

B.R.M Chronographes in India stands out for its independent spirit and distinctive approach to craftsmanship. Based in the calm French Vexin region, B.R.M Chronographes reflects true independence and French craftsmanship. The manufacturer focuses on handcrafted and tailor‑made watches, allowing clients to design their own models through the brand’s online configurator. This approach ensures that every B.R.M watch feels personal and original.

Over the years, B.R.M has introduced several notable innovations. For example, the brand created the world’s lightest automatic chronograph, a system with hands mounted on shock absorbers, and a floating mechanism designed for golfers. It also developed an extra‑flat mechanical watch and a unique multi‑time‑zone design. Thanks to these efforts, B.R.M Chronographes has become a respected name in French and international motorsports.

Artisanal Craft of B.R.M Chronographes

B.R.M relies on a wide range of traditional skills, such as watchmaking, spotting, stone setting, and hand‑lacquering. Because each artisan is highly trained, they maintain classic methods while also developing new ones. Through this balance of tradition and innovation, they create one‑of‑a‑kind watches and jewellery by hand.

Technological Expertise and Limitless Creativity

B.R.M also uses advanced tools to achieve precise results. For instance, the manufacturer works with CNC machines that cut to a tolerance of one‑hundredth of a millimetre. It also uses laser engraving and UV printing on crystal. Since its founding, the brand has continued to improve its technology while keeping its independent spirit.

All watches are made in-house by skilled artisans. Because daily production is limited, the team can focus on individual and custom pieces. The brand also offers an online configurator, giving customers the freedom to adjust colours, materials, and design details. As a result, each B.R.M creation blends art, French know‑how, and modern design cleanly and strikingly.
