A master craftsman and strategist in the world of independent watchmaking, Guillaume co-founded Hautlence and has held key roles at LVMH, Richemont, and Ralph Lauren Corp. Possessing a devoted passion for horology, the founder’s fascination had begun with the intricacies of craftsmanship behind watches. He was instantly captivated by the attention to detail and artistry involved in creating some of the finest timepieces. He refers to it as “It was love at first sight,” he recalls.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Sacheen had initially worked with commercial luxury watch brands. However, over time his appreciation for pure mechanisms and independent watchmaking led him in a different direction.
With extensive experience of over two decades, as a former Marketing Manager for renowned luxury brands in Singapore and India, and as the founder of Crest Horology in Singapore, he has developed a keen eye for market trends. Combined with his passion for the intricacies of timepieces, he has identified a growing opportunity in the Indian market.
Sacheen made history as the first person to explore the world of independent watchmaking in India. He launched ICONS OF TIME, an inaugural luxury watch exhibition that raised the bar and captured the attention of connoisseurs. Through this platform Sacheen introduced brands like Hautlence, De Bethune, Manufacture Royale, and H. Moser & Cie to India. His introduction of Urwerk to India marked another milestone, underscoring his commitment to bringing avant-garde timepieces to the forefront. Sacheen’s efforts have helped these names establish a strong presence in the Indian market today.
By handpicking small production watchmakers to exclusively sell their timepieces in India, Sacheen is providing independent brands an opportunity to stand out, while also catering to an audience that values handcrafted watches reflecting creativity and craftsmanship.
